Set in the heart of Tavistock at the foothills of Dartmoor in the rolling countryside of Devon. Found in the heart of this stannary town, The Cornish Arms is so called as it was the last coaching Inn before Cornwall.
Monterey Jacks became the name of the restaurant in 1995 although Alan and Sandra Jones have been at The Cornish Arms since 1986.
Alan and Sandra have travelled the U.S.A. and brought many of their ideas from Southern Chilli dishes to rich Mexican flavours.

Monterey Jacks aims to give you value for money in a buzzing non-smoking atmosphere where the management and staff endeavour to make your visit a memorable experience.
We have recently opened a refurbished function room which is now home to the Rotary Club of Tavistock who meet there lunchtimes on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 1.00pm and evenings at 6.30pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.
We can also cater for business meetings, luncheons, weddings, funerals and birthday celebrations that do not exceed 36. Buffet menus can be requested by telephone.
Car parking is available at the rear of the building via Russell Street.
